OK, I started running out of B-words in that headline there, but the Rangers' crazy 9-7 victory over the Angels that gave Texas two out of three at the Ballpark was all about the old days.
Bashing.
The Rangers couldn't hit anything in the month of June, batting .220 with an on-base percentage below .300 and averaging well under four runs per game until the final night of the month.
They scored 9 against the Angels Tuesday with Marlon Byrd collecting two of the team's five home runs. They produced nine more runs -- and needed them -- Wednesday as Blalock homered twice including a bottom-of-the-ninth game-winner off Justin Speier.
