Yunel Escobar has left the Toronto Blue Jays' game against the Baltimore Orioles after he was struck on the left elbow by a pitch from Rick VandenHurk in the second inning. Escobar went down clutching his arm in pain and was tended to on the field by manager John Farrell and trainer George Poulis before walking off, holding his arm gingerly. Mike McCoy came in to run and took over at shortstop. X-rays were negative and Escobar is day to day. Escobar entered Saturday's game with a .290 batting average, 11 homers and 48 RBIs.
