Recently DFA'd Mets minor leaguers Jason Pridie and Toby Stoner have cleared waivers as of this afternoon. Both men have been assigned to AAA Buffalo and will be in major league camp next month when spring training commences. Pridie had the option of free agency upon clearing waivers, but instead chose to remain with the club and accepted a minor league assignment.And thus puts to bed the much debated topic on this site of designating Pridie and Stoner for assignment last week to make room for Chris Young and Scott Hairston. Once again, Sandy and company have played the field correctly and everyone involved stays with the organization.
