In one of the least talked about trades today.
The Seattle Mariners traded reliever, Brandon League, to the Los Angeles Dodgers for two minor leaguers; outfielder Leon Landry and pitcher Logan Bawcom.
The deal went down late Monday night.
League has been a viable relief option lately, not only for the Mariners, but for fantasy owners as well. He did struggle this year as closer and as a result was replaced by Tom Wilhelmsen.
In a Los Angeles Times report last night, it was noted by Dodgers general manager, Ned Colletti, that League could be a relief option in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings.
A year removed from being an All-Star in 2011, League currently has a 3.63 ERA, with 9 saves, and 27 strikeouts in a little over 44 innings pitched this season. A move to the Dodgers could rejuvenate his season and could serve as a sneaky pick-up in your league.

The Dodgers traded Leon Landry and Logan Bawcom to the Mariners for Brandon League tonight, but I'm not really sure why this deal was made.
I'm not really ever high on trading for relievers, especially for relievers who can't get strikeouts. Despite being a power arm, League's strikeout rate is less than impressive. His career strikeouts per nine innings pitched...
