Atlanta Braves veteran third baseman Chipper Jones is dealing with a bone bruise on his right knee.
An MRI confirmed that the injury was not more serious and Jones will continue to play through the discomfort.
The Braves can secure a postseason berth as soon as Tuesday when they face the National League East champion Philadelphia Phillies. Atlanta owns a one-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the race for the wild card.
