Atlanta Braves reliever Luis Avilan is feeling better after being carted off the field the previous night because of severe pain in his left leg.
The left-hander went down while pitching in the ninth inning Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals. But, after being checked out Wednesday morning before the finale of a two-game series, it appears he just had a severe cramp.
Avilan says his leg ''is better now. It's way better now.'' He believes he'll be able to pitch again in a couple of days and hopes to avoid the 15-day disabled list.
The Braves already have two relievers on the DL: Jonny Venters and Cristhian Martinez.

So you probably heard about the Atlanta Braves second loss of the season yesterday, a 1-0 defeat in Atlanta at the hands of mighty Wade Davis and the Royals. In actuality, this win was gifted to Davis by none other than the most pitcher-friendly son of a ***** in on earth.
That’s right, when this asshole is behind home plate; a pitcher is sure to get healthy in a hurry. He has...

Today's shutout by the Kansas City Royals aside, the Atlanta Braves haven't had a lot to complain about so far this season and they have been getting yet more good news regarding first baseman Freddie Freeman.
