We tried to warn you guys months ago to start paying attention to Toronto Blue Jays’ 3B Brett Lawrie’s new girlfriend Paige Brendel. One thing leads to another and her Twitpics start including the likes of a bed photo with the Canadian heartthrob. Our interest in this Lawrie-Brendel relationship is like opening a book on how a WAG rises from nothing to something on the Internet. Let’s be honest, Brendel is 4-5 bikini photos this summer from being an Internet star.

Perfect scenario would be Brendel rolling into Miami for the Blue Jays visit to South Beach June 22-24. That gives her ample time to hit the beach, upload said bikini photos and she’s a huge star by Monday, June 25 – at least in Canada.

For those of you not in the know, Lawrie is the next coming of Evan Longoria for the Blue Jays. He’s just 22, 6-0, 215 lbs., tatted up, has perfect hair and women are totally nuts over this guy. For example, this week in Toronto, Lawrie was the special guest at a Victoria’s Secret in-store shoot with model Elsa Hosk (see below). He played in 43 games last year, batting .293. Through 23 games this year, Lawrie is off to a .278 start with two dongs and 13 RBI. He’s headed for multiple all-star games. Guaranteed.

This means Brendel needs to be on top of her game. That’s why the bikini pics are going to make or break 2012 in her rookie WAG season. Sure, she can mingle with the other Blue Jays WAGs all she wants and make friends. However, there is a way to keep your MLB meal ticket and that’s to be a star yourself.

The bed shot is a start. This is the kind of material we can turn into posts. It’s just May. Plenty of time for this chick to ramp up her campaign and keep Lawrie happy. All eyes are now on that Miami trip.
