The Milwaukee Brewers have outrighted catcher Wil Nieves to Triple-A Nashville and purchased catcher George Kottaras' contract from the minor league club. Nieves was 7 for 50 without a homer or RBI in 20 games. Kottaras started the season with the Brewers and appeared in nine games, going 7 for 26 with four RBIs before getting sent to Triple-A in late April. The Brewers announced the moves before Wednesday's 9-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs. After the game, they optioned LHP Zach Braddock to Nashville and called up pitcher Daniel Herrera, who will join them Thursday.
