The Milwaukee Brewers placed outfielder Carlos Gomez on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, less than 24 hours after he suffered a fractured clavicle.Gomez suffered the injury while making a running catch in Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gomez snagged the ball before tumbling to the turf, landing on his collarbone.It is not immediately clear whether Gomez will require surgery. Manager Ron Roenicke estimated that his 25-year-old center fielder would miss about two months of action.Gomez is batting .220 for the season with six homers, 19 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 209 at-bats.Outfielder Brett Carroll was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take Gomez's spot on the roster. Carroll batted .281 with 15 homers and 51 RBIs in 381 plate appearances in the minors.
