The bad news came quickly for the Atlanta Braves. Their stalwart and MVP, Brian McCann will be placed on the disabled list tomorrow after suffering a strained oblique muscle in the 10th inning.
This is a blow that hurts the Braves badly. Though, the positive is that the Braves have David Ross on the team. He could be a starter on many MLB teams. McCann, however, is one of the leaders of this team. He will be missed.
I expect the Braves to look harder at making a trade now that McCann is headed to the DL.
