Brian “The Predator” Rogers got the Bellator Season 6 middleweight tournament started in devastating fashion with a flying knee knockout of Vitor Vianna in the first round at Bellator 61. Rogers staggered Vianna with a right which he followed up with a flying knee. That strike landed flush on the chin of Vianna which flattened him as he was out cold. Rogers immediately began to celebrate knowing that the fight was over and that he punched his ticket to the semifinal round.
With the win Rogers improves his record to 9-3 with 8 of those victories coming by knockout or technical knockout. He will now take on Bruno Santos at Bellator 66 on April 20th at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Santos earned his way into the semifinal round with a unanimous decision win over submission specialist Giva Santana.
