San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson (who is a free agent this offseason) has narrowed his list of potential landings spots in 2013 from nine or ten teams down to five. It is however unclear who these teams are or if they’ll give Wilson a chance to close.

Could the Tigers be the chance that Wilson is looking for though?
With Detroit in ‘win-now’ mode, they would certainly provide Wilson the opportunity of being on a good team who’s certainly in contention for a World Series. Wilson would also have the opportunity to win a closers role with the Tigers considering the job seemingly belongs to prospect Bruce Rondon.
Wilson has also proven he can pitch in high pressure situations something that Rondon hasn’t yet proven and an area that almost cost the Tigers early on in the postseason last year.
