Though former closer Brian Wilson is not close to signing, there has been a lot of interest in the right-hander, reports Scott Miller of CBS Sports. Lots of interest in Brian Wilson, source says. He's still not close to signing but has narrowed list from 9 or 10 teams to 5 or so — Scott Miller (@ScottMCBS) December 28, 2012 So far this offseason the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers have been tied to Wilson, who’s reportedly narrowed his list from nine or 10 teams to five or so. Wilson appeared in two games for the Giants last season before requiring season-ending Tommy John surgery. Rather than pay his projected $8.5 million salary for 2013, San Francisco elected to non-tender the veteran right-hander. Over seven seasons with the Giants, Wilson owns a career ERA and WHIP of 3.21 and 1.338 with 9.6 strikeouts and 4.0 walks per nine innings. The 30-year-old compiled 163 saves from 2008-11 with the Giants.
