Whether you love him or hate him, most of us can agree that Bryce Harper is a pretty weird dude. Between telling little kids to be as sexy as they can and dressing up like a clown for Halloween, the 20-year-old has done some pretty bizarre things since he burst onto the MLB scene last year. But nothing is quite as strange as he pregame ritual. Harper went on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday night and discussed some of his superstitions. Kimmel asked him about sleeping with his baseball bat when he was younger, and Bryce said he has stopped doing that but adopted other habits — like showering more than a handful of times before games. “When I was growing up I was really supersticious,” Harper told Kimmel. “I still am. I get to the field at around 12 o’clock for a 7:05 game and it starts from there. I swear I shower seven times when I’m at the field, and I don’t even need to. It’s bad. “As long as I’m on a streak or we’re doing good or my team’s winning, I’m gonna keep doing the sa

Morse Being Morse: Top Five Moments

Most people will miss Michael Morse for his off-field personality more than his on-field production, which I wrote about in my article analyzing the trade. He just found a way into the hearts of NatsTown. As such, I thought there was nothing more appropriate to discuss this morning than the top moments of Michael Morse being... well, Michael Morse. 5. “Marry Me...

Bryce Harper on Jimmy Kimmel Was Quite Amusing

Bryce Harper is a crazy dude to say the least.  From his crazy porno mustache, to rocking his RG3 style socks in church, he does some crazy things, but we enjoy every minute of it.  He recently went on Jimmy Kimmel live, and admitted to taking seven showers before every game.  He also has to have his ego waffles prior to game time.  Before his first major league at bat a couple...

Bryce Harper will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight

So Bryce Harper will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC tonight at 11:35 along with Rob Lowe and rapper Big Boi. [Go ahead, insert your own "Clown Question, bro" joke here.] The appearance will be Harper's late night television debut; and most likely only the second time a Washington Nationals player has appeared on late night TV (Stephen Strasburg read the Top 10 list...

Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals made his first late-night television appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night. He talked clown questions, the infamous first-at-bat moon, Las Vegas, and superstitions. Not a bad interview for his first time on the late night circuit. I hope Bryce Harper becomes the next spokesman of ego waffles. via Jimmy Kimmel Live  Article found...

During his rookie season in 2012, Bryce Harper hit a .270/.340/.477 with 22 homers, 59 RBIs, 18 stolen bases in 139 games, and was voted NL Rookie of the Year. However even with his new level of stardom, he isn’t afraid to live like a 20 year old. Last night Harper took a break from advising...

Bryce Harper on Jimmy Kimmel Live: Eggo Waffles Part of Superstitions

Last night would have been my first night watching an entire episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. It started at 11:30 PM ET, and I was already struggling. I wanted to have a post up about this last night, but I did the smart thing and called it quits just before midnight. I figured the show’s producer would keep me up at least another hour and send Rob Lowe on stage before Harper got...

Cory Hahn continues to defy the odds

Santa Ana, Calif. - When you tell Mater Dei alum Cory Hahn he can't do something, there's a charge that goes through his mind. A charge so strong it borders defiance. It fuels him.So after being told he would never function normally again after suffering a freak injury on the baseball field two years ago, it only added fuel to his fire. Hahn, who played on the United States...

TOC Top Ten: Left Field

Baseball is a funny game sometimes. The two players who could shape the game for the next decade are ranked at this position...and neither was a full-timer last year. Yes, Mike Trout and Bryce Harper will be playing left field in 2013, and both were center fielders in 2012. Harper's move was justified by the trade of Denard Span to the Nationals, while Trout shifted to left after...

Farewell, Michael Morse...

It was only a matter of time... Nationals trade Michael Morse to Seattle Mariners for A.J. Cole and two players to be named later in three-team deal Welcome back, A.J. Cole. Any chance Ryan Langerhans is one of the PTBNLs? But who will throw the buckets of bubblegum on teammates in the dugout after home runs? Who will dump smallish bottles of water on teammates'...
