Canseco, Mag Pipes, rumors of blackmail

Good old Jose Canseco is back in the media spotlight again today. The piss-off himself is said to have tried to force Magglio Ordonez to invest in an upcoming movie starring Canseco, or be written into Canseco's next book, "Vindicated." "Scott Boras, Ordonez's agent, filed a complaint with the FBI after Canseco spoke with a Boras employee and said Ordonez would be "clear" if the outfielder invested in the movie project, the newspaper said." MLB also made the FBI aware of the situation. But as of yet Ordonez has decided not to press charges, so the FBI will not open a formal investigation.

  • Has anyone ever noticed how Canseco and Magglio both have some crazy eye twitchiness going? It's not quite a sustained Peter Falk pirate eye deal, but more like a hyperactive I-just-poured-red-bull-directly-into-my-retina thing. I wonder if that's a side effect of some sort of drug use.
