St. Louis Cardinals weekly chat on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines.
Late Wednesday afternoon, I joined Ken Miller and Jim Brinson on KXnO FOX Sports Radio 1460 in Des Moines in our regular series to discuss the St. Louis Cardinals, “Cardinal Talk.” This week, we discussed the Cardinals current schedule, including the rough start to the club’s West Coast road trip.
Cardinals followers in central Iowa can again catch St. Louis Cardinals radio broadcasts on KXnO as well as my regular segment each week throughout the season, either over the air or via streaming. My appearances are sponsored by WCI Pools and Spas.

SAN DIEGO Standing in front of his locker following a second straight sloppy loss that dropped the Cardinals to 4-10 in their past 14 games, starter Adam Wainwright did his best to convince those worried about his teammates that they shouldn't be.
Despite losing five of their last six games and posting just four wins since August 28, the Cardinals remain one game in front of...

SAN DIEGO The Cardinals will decide in the next day or so whether or not to let Jaime Garcia make his next scheduled start Saturday in Los Angeles.
Garcia allowed four runs, seven hits and three walks Monday night, continuing an ugly trend of poor performances away from the friendly confines of Busch Stadium. The left-hander has a 2.63 ERA at home this season compared to a 6.19...

Cardinals first baseman Lance Berkman was scheduled to undergo season-ending knee surgery on Tuesday, and it could lead to his retirement, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Tuesday. Berkman had a second MRI in less than two weeks on Monday, at which time it was determined surgery was needed. He needs additional meniscus shaved from a knee that has already undergone three...
There’s a natural ebb and flow to every pitcher’s season, but it comes in fits and starts instead of the smoother information stream that a position player provides. So, every five days, our brains attempt to fit a narrative over these disparate pieces of information. That’s natural, if not always useful.
Take Adam Wainwright for instance. In his last three starts, he’s...
Allen Craig drove in Shane Robinson with the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, and the St. Louis Cardinals extended their NL wild-card lead over Los Angeles to two games with a 2-1 victory over the struggling Dodgers on Thursday night.
Lance Lynn (15-7) pitched six innings of five-hit ball to earn his first win since July 27 for the Cardinals, striking out seven in the All-Star...
That just happened, huh? In the midst of final three weeks of the season, the Cardinals started the penultimate road trip of 2012 by getting swept. Against a team 9 games under .500. At least they were, until the Cardinals came to down.Yup. The Fathers whipped off their work belt and went to town on the bare asses of the feckless basballers we call Cardinals. Massively ineffective...
Team opens home action against division rival Cincinnati Reds Monday, April 8th.
ST. LOUIS – September 12, 2012 – The St. Louis Cardinals announced their 2013 regular season schedule today in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s league-wide release.

Those stupid Cardinals. Despite great picks like the Astros and Ian Kennedy over Clayton Kershaw, the picks foundered around the .500 mark all day. The Red Sox won as predicted, but the Bay Rays did not. That's how the day went. The stupid St. Louis Cardinals was the swing game between over .500 and below it. They had Adam Wainwright on the mound, their ace. They had the early...
The St. Louis Cardinals will play 20 interleague games next season, including three against Albert Pujols and the Los Angeles Angels.
Despite struggling of late, both the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers remain in good position to claim the second wild-card berth in the NL.
With a one-game lead over the Dodgers for that spot, the Cardinals look to avoid a fourth straight loss overall and fifth consecutive defeat at Chavez Ravine on Thursday night.
Hoping for the chance to defend its World Series title...
