ST. LOUIS -- Right-hander Michael Wacha has been recalled from Double-A Springfield, just in time to start the Cardinals' game Tuesday night at Cincinnati. Wacha was among six players the Cardinals added to their roster. Also in that group were pitchers Tyler Lyons and Carlos Martinez (from Springfield), first basemanoutfielder Brock Peterson (from Triple-A Memphis), infielder Ryan Jackson (Memphis) and catcher Audry Perez (Memphis). Wacha returns the rotation after spending his most recent major league stint in the bullpen, including four innings August 28 against the Reds. He had seven strikeouts in that game. Wacha, 22, was 5-3 with a 2.65 ERA in 15 starts at Memphis this season and is 2-0 with a 3.78 ERA in 10 games (four starts) for St. Louis. He faces Cincinnati's Homer Bailey in his start tonight.
