The Colorado Rockies could have two of the most coveted hitters in baseball. Those hitters would be Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez. Both of them are among the best at their positions. Carlos Gonzalez is going to draw heavy interest this offseason, but lets not forget about his 'ol friend Troy Tulowitzki. The St. Louis Cardinals are expected to pursue Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post. If the Rockies did decide to deal Tulowitzki, Renck says that the Cardinals would make sense as a trade partner. He says that the Rockies have a need at shortstop, have the prospects that would interest the Rockies and they could take on the remaining $134 million of Tulowitzki's contract. While a deal involving Tulowitzki is unlikely, keep an eye on the Cardinals. If they can offer the hitting prospects that the Rockies crave, the Rockies could potentially consider a deal. Sure, the Cards would have to offer some of the best hitting their farm system has to offer, but for a guy like Tulowitzki, you have to at least consider doing it. On the season, Tulowitzki is hitting .315 with 24 home runs and 80 RBI's. They Rockies are not expected to trade Tulowitzki, but if they get blown away with an offer they cannot refuse, expect them to at least consider pulling the trigger on a deal. For 17 seasons, he wore number 17 with pride. For 17 seasons, he was only twice surrounded by a team capable of winning it all.
