MLB Looks To Suspend A-Rod, Braun And Others

As I watched the Oakland/Milwaukee game last night, I watched as the Brewer`s right fielder Ryan Braun step up to the plate, look back at the umpire, and had a laugh. I couldn’t help but think to myself, boy this kid has no idea what is going to happen to his life in two weeks. By now you have probably heard the whisperings. The MLB is looking to suspend 20 of its players connected...

Brewers' Lohse dealing with hamstring ailment

MILWAUKEE -- For the second straight day, Milwaukee's starting pitcher felt a hamstring injury pop up during the game. While Marco Estrada felt his left hamstring strain on a pitch, Brewers right-hander Kyle Lohse felt his left hamstring grab while running the bases in the third inning. Lohse stayed in the game and pitched three more innings, but the hamstring played into Brewers...

MLB may ban Ryan Braun, A-Rod for PED scandal

Within the next few weeks, Major League Baseball will seek to suspend about 20 players, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, connected to the Miami-area Biogenesis clinic that is at the heart of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal, , reports T.J. Quinn, Pedro Gomez

If the Brewers rebuild, who do they move?

Despite the Brewers beating the A's 4-3 in ten innings on Tuesday night, they're still 22-35 this season. They're coming off of a 6-22 month of May, tying the record for the worst month in franchise history. They're in last place in the NL Central, 15.5 games behind the division-leading Cardinals, who happen to have the best record in baseball. Their -53 run differential...

Brewers call up Thornburg, send Estrada to 15-day DL

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers have placed right-hander Marco Estrada on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. Despite his struggles in Triple-A this season, Tyler Thornburg has been recalled and will start Saturday in place of Estrada. Estrada strained his left hamstring in the fifth inning of Monday's 10-2 loss to Oakland and had to leave the game after...

Ryan Braun: Suspension would cast a dark shadow on Milwaukee Brewers

Over the past decade, it has been admirable the way that the Milwaukee Brewers achieved a balance between turning prospects into stars and adding veterans along the way to become competitive in the National League. Ryan Braun became the pinnacle of that success. He went from the fifth overall pick in the 2005 draft, to the National League MVP in 2011. Not only did he help lead the...

Brewers happy Devin Williams fell to them at No. 54

MILWAUKEE -- After waiting over four hours to make their first pick in the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected two players with tremendous upside. With the 54th pick, the Brewers selected right-hander Devin Williams from Hazelwood West High School in Missouri. Milwaukee used the 72nd overall pick to take prep shortstop Tucker Neuhaus...

Brewers Tuesday: Estrada ailing

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Marco Estrada is unlikely to make his next scheduled start after straining his left hamstring in Monday's loss to Oakland. Estrada was moving better Tuesday afternoon, but he's not very confident he'll be able to take the ball Saturday against Philadelphia. "I don't know if this start's going to happen or not...

Brewers 4, Athletics 3(10)

Carlos Gomez scored from first on Yuniesky Betancourt's line drive in the gap between center and right in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night. John Axford (2-3) got the win with a scoreless 10th. He retired Yoenis Cespedes, whose first career multi-homer game had given the Athletics a 3-0 lead...

Report: Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun among many facing suspension from MLB

Major League Baseball is planning to drop the hammer on the New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez and the Milwaukee Brewers’ Ryan Braun along with 20 other players with a connection to the Miami-based Biogensis Clinc, which is suspected of providing performance-enhancing drugs. According to a report from ESPN’s Outside the Lines, the owner of the clinic, Tony Bosch, has agreed to provide...

Bartolo Colon Dazzles Again, A’s Take Finale with Brewers 6-1

The A’s secured a series win on Wednesday, taking the final game with the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 6-1. Despite being in the headlines for the wrong reasons again, Bartolo Colon was at his best on Wednesday.  He surrendered a run in the bottom of the 1st, thanks to a Carlos Gomez RBI triple – but that was all he gave up. The score remained 1-0 until the 5th, when Seth...

Homestander: Critical Thinking

There is a witch hunt going on in the MLB and it involves our favorite son, Ryan Braun. I don't know why, but there is. The mainstream media is a big part of it because they want to get the scoop, they want to break the story and they want to get the page views. They learned from the Melky Cabrera situation that he just doesn't get the clicks anymore. They've learned...
