Although Carlos Delgado has not played a Major League game since May 2009, he is not ready to call it a career yet. He'd like to sign with a team and get some Spring Training at-bats, but first he needs to get 100% healthy, according to Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun.
“I’d like to play but I’m not hitting, yet,” said the 38-year-old Delgado.
“I just started running last week in San Juan. It’s tough to ask teams to come look at me. The first question they’ll ask is: ‘When can we see you hit?’ I don’t have an answer yet.”
