Veteran slugger Carlos Delgado wants to make a comeback in 2011 according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com. The first baseman is rehabbing from hip surgery and believes it's only a matter of time before he returns the Majors. “If I am healthy, I will find a way,” said Delgado. “I know how to play. I don't want to retire. The reason why I put myself through three surgeries in 18 months is because I want to play. Otherwise, I would have just hung it up.” Delgado hasn't played in a Major League game since May 10, 2009. Last August, he signed a Minor League deal with the Red Sox, but after feeling discomfort in his left hip, he decided to undergo surgery in September. Sanchez adds that Delgado has been swinging the bat as part of his rehabilitation program.
