WASHINGTON (AP) -- Miami Marlins first baseman Casey Kotchman left Wednesday's game at the Washington Nationals with a strained left hamstring.
The Marlins listed him as day to day.
Kotchman clutched at the back of his upper left leg as he ran through first base while grounding into a double play in the fifth inning. After crossing the bag, he tumbled to the ground.
Kotchman hobbled across the diamond to the visiting dugout. In the bottom of the fifth, Greg Dobbs replaced him in the field at first.
The gametime temperature was 45 degrees.
The 30-year-old Kotchman is in his first season with Miami, his seventh major league club across 10 years.
