BALTIMORE-Wei-Yin Chen may be a rookie with the Orioles, but he continues to pitch like a talented veteran. Chen struck out 12 in just 5 2/3 innings, and the Orioles got homers from Matt Wieters and Omar Quintanilla in a 6-1 victory over Oakland Sunday afternoon. Chen (9-6) set a record for strikeouts by a Taiwanese-born pitcher, breaking the mark of 10 that Chien-Ming Wang set on June 17, 2007, when pitching with the Yankees. For Chen, his previous career high for strikeouts was nine, achieved earlier this season against the Mariners.
