The All-Star Game is officially behind us and can only mean one thing, trade season. The Chicago Cubs are certain to be sellers at this years deadline and include plenty of good pieces for contenders to add to make a Post-Season run. Matt Garza is the Cubs top trade piece and should return some quality prospects to their much improved farm system. Chicago’s system is very good in terms of positional players, but are a year or two away to contribute to the big league team. Their pitching prospects are very thin and don’t have a top-tier prospect that will fly through the system. Pitching is a need for the Cubbies and will look to replenish the farm system through trades and looking to get their highest return through Matt Garza.
