Chipper Jones is worth a reported $110 million According to the website, Celebrity Net Worth, former Braves great and future Hall of Famer, Chipper Jones, is worth $110 million.  A hefty sum of money, but there’s another recent Braves player who is worth more. Jones retired from the Braves after last season, and at 41 years of age, still has many years to enjoy his riches.  And if you take note of the Atlanta gossip pages, Chipper is having himself a good time. Celebrity Net Worth does not say how Chipper’s reported divorce has affected or will affect his wealth.  Most well-heeled celebrities today have pre-nuptial agreements that protect their assets, although Tiger Woods evidently didn’t know about pre-nups before making his former blonde bombshell wife, Elin Nordgren rich.  Nordgren is worth $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Kinda funny that Chipper played in the major leagues for 19 years at a high level, as one of the top paid players in the game, a sure-fire Hall of Famer, yet his net worth is only 10% more than a golfer’s ex-wife.  She didn’t even have an agent, either. Hall of Fame ex-Braves pitcher, Greg Maddux, is worth a reported $70 million.  Maddux retired in 2003, so he didn’t benefit from the significant escalation in salaries that has taken place the past 10 years in major league baseball.  If Maddux was in his prime today, I think he’d easily be making $20+ million per season. Former Braves all-star center fielder, Andruw Jones, is worth a reported $50 million, and pitching great John Smoltz is worth $55 million.  But the long-time contemporary ex-Brave who has the highest net worth at this point in time, according to Celebrity Net Worth, is pitcher, Tom Glavine, at $120 million.
