TEAMS: Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals
The Indians won the game tonight against the Kansas City Royals 4-3 in the series opener. The Cleveland Indians could wake up tomorrow morning in a three way tie for first place. The bad news is Shin-Soo Choo left the game with a hamstring injury. If Choo misses any kind of time in right field one has to wonder what the Indians are going to do to fill the outfield. The Tribe has been short on talent for the outfield since the opening day of spring training win Grady Sizemore reported to spring training with a lower back injury that required surgery.
The question may become how fast can Johnny Damon get ready and can he make an impact for the Cleveland Indians at age 38? The Indians continue to see an impressive performance for a rejuvenated Jack Hannahan, Jack not only is making a great defensive effort his offense continues to deliver runs in clutch situations. The Indians have got to hope Choo doesn’t miss any major time in right field.

Hits keep coming for Indians' Hannahan
Sometimes it takes a player a long time to be in the right place at the right time, but that appears to be the case with Jack Hannahan. The veteran third baseman has seemingly found a home in Cleveland, and he's off to the best start of his career.
Hannahan's two-run double Tuesday capped a three-run, fifth-inning rally that helped carry the Indians to a 4-3 win over Kansas...
Up is Down. Left is Right. Jack Hannahan is…Good?
It’s easy to forget that Jack Hannahan is still a Major League Baseball player—at least in part—because of Gavin Floyd.
Because until Floyd broke Jason Donald’s left hand with a high-and-tight fastball on March 6 of last year, Donald was slated to be the Indians’ bridge to Lonnie Chisenhall. The best laid plans of Mark and Chris…
Of course, even after Donald’s injury...

Report: Derek Lowe’s World Series ring and trophy stolen
Cleveland Indians pitcher Derek Lowe was a member of the 2004 Boston Red Sox team that won a World Series. Asking him to show you the ring might be a touchy subject today-
“The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series ring and a gold World Series trophy from Major League Baseball pitcher Derek Lowe’s Fort Myers residence...
How The Indians Should Handle the Addition of Johnny Damon
The Cleveland Indians are coming off of a recent 9-game road trip during which they went 7-2. It was an impressive trip and gives them the second best road record in baseball behind the Rangers.
The Indians return home this week and Shelley Duncan remains the starter in left field. This may change soon enough though, as Johnny Damon is set to join the team in a matter of weeks....
Is Jack Hannahan The Next Casey Blake?
The following piece is something that I never thought I would write. I also still to this day cannot understand the immense love for Casey Blake that the Indians fans and the organization itself had for this guy. Readers of this site know that I have been a Blake hater for years. But nevertheless, I saw and appreciated his value and there will be a point to all of this.
GM Chris...
Jimenez's elevated pitch counts remain a concern for Indians
The quality of Ubaldo Jimenez's pitches are usually as much of a problem as the quantity. The big right-hander again ran into a high pitch count Wednesday in the Cleveland Indians' 8-2 loss the visiting Kansas City Royals. Jimenez pitched six innings, but he needed 113 pitches to do so, and he gave up a pair of two-run homers that gave Kansas City an early 4-0 lead. In...
Indians 4 Royals 3: Tribe Keeps Royals Sinking, Move Into First
As a baseball fans, you know there are those games in which your team should win but end up losing. Then there are the games that your team has no business winning, yet does anyways. Last night in front of a sparse crowd at Progressive Field, your Cleveland Indians pulled off the latter. How else can you explain the 4-3 victory in which the Tribe loaded the bases with nobody out...
