June 1st started off ok for the Cleveland Indians, they won against the Tampa Bay Rays 5-0 behind a great outing from Ubaldo Jimenez. They were only .5 games out of first.
Then the wheels came off via an 8 game losing streak. The New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers took turns sweeping them by a combined score of 34-21. After the losing streak finally ended against Texas they found themselves 5.5 games out.
However on June 30th they found themselves tied for the division lead. How did that happen?
After that 8 game losing streak they rolled off a 14-5 clip. Finished off by a 4 game sweep of (surprise) the Chicago White Sox. Last Friday’s double header versus the White Sox was original because they were down in both games and came back to win them both. Nick Swisher was on fire and coined a funny term Bro-hio.
