The Cleveland Indians have traded left-handed pitcher Aaron Laffey to the Seattle Mariners, according to the Plain Dealer‘s Paul Hoynes. No word yet on who the Indians will get in return.

Laffey, 25, was the Tribe’s 16th-round pick in the 2003 draft. Last season he posted a 4.53 ERA (3.92 FIP) in 55.2 innings, mostly out of the bullpen. In 79 career MLB games (49 starts) since 2007, he is 18-21 with a 4.41 ERA and an identical 4.41 FIP.

Laffey made one appearance for the Indians this spring, throwing a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and no walks with no strikeouts.
