There is a reason why most feel a pitcher truly begins to tap into their potential and hit their stride in their third year in the bigs. Being equipped with a 95MPH fastball, like Seth McClung, doesn't make for a great pitcher. Learning to locate, change speeds, control the plate and mix pitches does. After giving up three homers to the Blue Jays the other day, Hamels inexperience was exposed. He's got a lot to work to do if he hopes to reach his goal of a 20 win season.
