As told by Dan Steinberg, via D.C. Sports Bog (where other delicacies available at the Baltimore ballpark are chronicled): “It’s ‘Bacon on a stick.’” I was told. “It’s large slabs of bacon in Natty Boh bottles.” /draw up plan for nationwide tour of Major League Ballparks //cross every ballpark off the list except for [...]

On Wednesday, the Baltimore Orioles invited the local media and various dignitaries out to Camden Yards to preview the renovations, plus the new culinary offerings available Opening Day and beyond. Camden Yards starting on Friday will feature ‘Dempsey’s Brew Pub and Restaurant’, which is named for former Oriole catcher and current MASN broadcaster, Rick Dempsey, who is...
So, maybe Dylan Bundy should have been started above low-A ball. In his pro baseball debut, for the Delmarva Shorebirds, Bundy pitched 3 perfect frames (they're trying to limit his innings). He struck out 6, and apparently threw 21 out of 21 pitches* for strikes (that's 100%, which seems pretty good). Even though he's coming from high school, he's already 19 and is...
Twenty years ago, Cal Ripken Jr. had mixed feelings about the opening of Camden Yards.
Ripken wasn't eager to leave Memorial Stadium, but says when he walked into the Baltimore Orioles' new ballpark for the first time it already ''felt like it had a history.''
The Orioles will celebrate mark the 20th anniversary of the inaugural opener at the Camden Yards...
On the 20th anniversary of the opening of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Baltimore Orioles rekindled the magic of the stadium that set the standard for all future ballparks.
The Orioles hope to keep the magic - and winning - going Saturday as they continue their season-opening series against the Minnesota Twins.
Baltimore got the 2012 season started right with a 4-2 victory over...
Fail. On the other hand, to be fair, this guy is a Baltimore Orioles fan, for Pete’s sake. I suppose he’d put his faith in just about anyone or anything if it meant restoring the team to relevancy. And it is the season opener at Camden Yards Friday afternoon, so perhaps invoking Tebow’s name, the [...]
It was a glorious Opening Day for the Baltimore Orioles as they defeated the Minnesota Twins, 4-2, on a sunny Friday afternoon at a sold-out Camden Yards.
As we all know, twenty years ago, Camden Yards opened to the public and not only has become an indelible part of the city, but also helped transform the landscape of baseball.
The pre-game ceremony by the Orioles’ production...
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Tommy Hunter took a four-hitter into the eighth inning, Nick Markakis went 3 for 4 with a homer and the Baltimore Orioles cruised past the Minnesota Twins 8-2 Saturday night.
Adam Jones and Matt Wieters also homered for the Orioles, who will seek to complete a three-game sweep on Sunday. Baltimore has won six straight over Minnesota by a combined score of 36-8...
Jake Arrieta pitched seven scoreless innings, Nick Markakis homered and drove in three runs, and the Baltimore Orioles marked the 20th anniversary of the opening of Camden Yards by defeating the Minnesota Twins 4-2 Friday.
Making his first opening day start, Arrieta (1-0) allowed two hits, struck out four and walked two in a 97-pitch performance reminiscent of the gem that Rick...

Opening Day has come and gone and yet again it was amazing. It never ceases to amaze me the sheer amount of humanity that descends upon Baltimore on opening day. Every bar, every hotdog cart, every street corner is simply overflowing with people. The various critics of the organization and team always state that no one wants to talk about or really care about the Orioles anymore...
Tonight, the Baltimore Orioles play their second game of the season as they face the Minnesota Twins at 7:05 p.m.
This is the second contest in a three-game set. Right-hander Tommy Hunter squares off against southpaw Francisco Liriano on the mound.
Hunter, who came into this season slimmer and more fit is looking to establish himself as the number two starter. Much like with...
The Orioles picked up their usual Opening Day win yesterday, and are tied for first place in the AL East. Going wire-to-wire is probably going to require a second victory today, so they'll need to make that happen to keep the dream alive. The Twins (2011 stats):
