On Tuesday, Conor Gillaspie helped provide some run support for Madison Bumgarner in the Giants 7-0 win by hitting the first home run of his career. But this wasn't just any old home run. It was an inside-the-park homer, in fact. And, if you hang around long enough to watch Gillaspie [try to] round third base, you'll see that it was the most rookie home run of all time. Needless to say, Gillaspie, who also had an inside-the-park scamper at Triple A when a ball was jammed under neither a bullpen bench, was pretty embarrassed. "Only something like that could happen to me," said Gillaspie. His teammates, however, enjoyed the moment. "That was hilarious," Brandon Belt said. "I was watching one of my own at-bats (on video) and I kept replaying him sliding into home. He laid there for 10 seconds. I watched it 10 times. It was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time." Couldn't agree more, Brandon.
