Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Aaron Cook has left Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies after four innings because of muscle spasms in his neck.
Cook left after allowing four runs on five hits, striking out two and walking one. He gave up two runs in the fourth, one on Ryan Howard's 22nd home run of the year to lead off the inning.
Cook was seeking his third straight win after beginning the season with five consecutive losses.
He began the year on the disabled list after breaking an index finger on his pitching hand in spring training. He made his first start June 8 in San Diego.
Reliever Edgmer Escalona replaced Cook in the fifth.
