Houston Hotbed has decided to delay any ‘potentially good-fit trades’ type of posts for now, seeing as it is April and there is barely any likelihood that any significant deals would occur at this point in time. However, that doesn’t change the fact that Astros are still lacking that extra left-handed bat to use in the line-up against right-handed pitching.

Yep, that Hank Blalock. The two-time All-Star has hit 25+ home runs four times in his career. He’s currently a free agent, and has been since his being released from a stint in Tampa Bay last season.
