Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder wants the Cubs to go "All the Way." Vedder, at the request of Cubs legend Ernie Banks, wrote the song about the Cubs' quest for a World Series title earlier this summer. Now it's being played on some Chicago radio stations and at bars around Wrigleyville, according to Billboard magazine. The song, recorded during a Vedder solo show at the Auditorium Theatre in August, features lines like "Our heroes wear pinstripes/pinstripes in blue/give us chance to feel like heroes too." A post on Pearl Jam's Web site on Thursday said the song will be available for download in the "next few days." CDs and souvenir 45 singles of the song also might be produced, the site said.
