Carlos Zambrano won’t be re-joining the Chicago Cubs any time soon. The Cubs starter-turned-reliever-turned-starter was suspended by the team after he went on an explosive rampage. Now, it’s been revealed that Z will not join the team until at least after the All-Star break.
Zambrano will go to counseling for his “emotional outbursts” and will move to the restricted list with pay. He may have topped his previous “most ridiculous reason to miss games” which occurred when he hurt his arm/elbow spending too much time instant messaging. Hilariously, 57.2% of fans voted that they wanted to trade Zambrano last June. Even more hilariously, he has a no trade clause.
