Found February 24, 2013 on The Outside Corner:
We have our first major injury of the spring, and it's not good news for the New York Yankees.  Left fielder Curtis Granderson will miss ten weeks with a broken right forearm after being hit in the first inning by JA Happ of the Toronto Blue Jays. With Granderson missing the first month or so of the regular season, the Yankees will probably end up going into Opening Day with either Juan Rivera or Matt Diaz as their primary left fielder. Of course, neither of those players can hit right-handers at all, and both should be in platoons.  You've gotta wonder if the Yankees are going to test the trade market and try to fill that hole in left field with an external option, because losing Granderson's bat in the lineup is going to be a huge negative for the Yankees in April  [follow]
