A day after the Dodgers shelled the Padres, they decided to put up more of a fight this time. Unfortunately they were unable to grab the win in the process despite a solid pitching effort from Andrew Cashner. Both starters in the game essentially matched each other as both Cashner and Chris Capuano pitched seven innings and struck out seven while giving up one run. The Padres bullpen (Nick Vincent) gave up the winning run and gave the Dodgers the win. Today is September first and the last game of this series. With it means one more month to go in the Padres season. Tyson Ross takes on Zack Greinke at 1:10 PST.
