It’s hard to imagine David Ortiz in anything other than a Red Sox uniform, and the veteran slugger admitted on Monday that changing teams didn’t really cross his mind. Ortiz inked a new two-year deal with the Sox that will keep him in Boston as the team looks to bounce back following a disappointing 2012 campaign. The 36-year-old said that he’s excited to remain in the place he’s called home since 2003, especially because he understands the passion of Red Sox Nation. NESN’s Naoko Funayama caught up with Ortiz shortly after the new deal was made official. Check out what the eight-time All-Star had to say in the video above.
