When you think of the greatest Designated Hitters in MLB history, what is first thought that jumps into your mind? The casual fan might think of Jim Rice, Frank Thomas Paul Molitor and of course Seattle Mariners icon Edgar Martinez. There should be one more player that needs to be considered among these baseball greats, and that is the Designated Hitter for the Boston Red Sox David Ortiz.
