NY POSTDerek Jeter is getting fat while recovering from ankle surgery. Look at him, he is winded from getting out of a car (I assume). I know workouts can be tough in a walking book, but eat some salad to cut the calories. Instead, Derek looks to be on a similar diet as me. A couple of grilled cheese sandwiches for breakfast, a large pizza for lunch and another for dinner, and 1/2 or 3/4 of an apple pie with ice cream around 11. If this keeps up, all the Sox have to do is hit the ball to the left side of the infield against the Yankees next season. He'll be a few steps slower while battle the new-found weight issues. The weight doesn't come off as easy as it used to, Derek. Also, kudos to the NY Post for ripping their beloved Derek Jeter. I am enjoying it very much, especially the nickname "Captain Munch". Let's take a stab at a joke, courtesy of John... Derek Jeter is so fat, someone hired Stewie Griffin to follow him around with a tuba.
