Cleveland Indians outfielder Trevor Crowe took an unusual approach to finding his lost phone.
After the 27-year-old warned his Twitter followers that they could be receiving some weird message from the potential thief of the phone, Crowe tweeted his own cell number in hopes that fans would take the hint.
"When phone was stolen it was dead," Crowe posted. "(Call) went straight to (voice mail). Now ringing. Thinking about tweeting my number so everyone can blow it up."
Crowe's reasoning was that the owner of the phone would be annoyed with the constant calling, thus prompting him to either return it or just cut bait entirely.
There has been no immediate word on the success rate of Crowe's plan.
