New Toronto ace R.A. Dickey says he's thrilled to join a team that's ''all in'' to win the World Series and thankful the New York Mets did not meet his contract demands.
The Blue Jays formally introduced Dickey on Tuesday at Rogers Centre after acquiring the National League Cy Young Award winner from the Mets last month.
Dickey says the Mets helped him cultivate his knuckleball and says there is no acrimony between him and his former team, but he's glad to be moving on.
He says Toronto general manager Alex Anthopoulos is doing everything to win now after also acquiring All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes and pitchers Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle from Miami this offseason. He says if Toronto doesn't win it won't be because Anthopoulos didn't try.

The veteran knuckleballer says that he is thrilled to join the Blue Jays, subtly ripping the Mets by saying Toronto is a team he said is "all in" to win the World Series.
R.A. Dickey was introduced to the Blue Jays fans and media Tuesday. The knuckleballer was dealt from the Mets in a seven-player deal in December. As the story goes, knuckleball pitchers prefer to throw indoors so Dickey should have some success by giving hitters issues in the Rogers Centre.

The Toronto Blue Jays look poised to compete in the American League East in 2013. Part of their plans involve the return of Jose Bautista, and the good news he appears to be right on schedule. In fact, Bautista says his wrist is healed.
According to Chris Toman of MLB.com, Bautista has said his surgically-repaired left wrist is completely healed. Bautista injured the wrist...
Former Mets knuckleballer has some issues at introduction.
I’m not sure who we saw last year, but it sure-as-shootin’ wasn’t Brandon Morrow. Just 7.80 K/9 with a 2.96 BB/9? No, that’s not Morrow. That’s Ryan Dempster!
So what the heck happened? Well, he completely changed the way he approached batters. Prior to last year, Morrow pretty much did one of two things against opponents: rear back and try to throw his 94-mph four-seamer...
