After tonight's game the Mets reportedly cut six players; Calero, Parnell, Carter, Dessens, Figueroa, Adams.I have to say, I absolutely hate that Chris Carter hit .393 and didn't make the team, while Fernando Tatis in making the team hit .163. What were my concerns with re-signing Tatis; his defense and offense would diminish, while injuries would increase. Well his knee has been hurting all spring while he's looked awful in the field while not hitting at all. I would much rather have Carter hitting left handed then give Tatis a spot because he's right handed.As I said in an earlier post today I would have kept Adams just to keep from starting the FA clock on Tejada for five games as a bench player.Parnell needs work, he sort of lost his way last year in the second half and it doesn't look like he recovered.
