I don't know how we get rid of A-Rod, but I know who should be playing third next year: He's a kid named Jeter

Let's face it: We're stuck with A-Rod, unless he lowers the boom and says he wants to leave. Even then, it's dicey. We cannot spend $20 million per year to pay for another team's thirdbaseman, and that's what it's going to take: A full-scale buyout. But think this: Derek Jeter for two more years at shortstop. It doesn't parse. His legs will break down...

The fact that New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter unfortunately broke his ankle during Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday apparently not only derailed season, and along with it, likely any hope that the Bronx Bombers would advance to the World Series, it also reportedly put a temporary kibosh on his Manhattan apartment-hunting escapades. Yankees blame sweep on booing in the Bronx

There's a lot blame to pass around for the New York Yankee pathetic showing in the four-game sweep by the Detroit Tigers in the American league Championship Series.
