There seem to be two schools of thought when it comes to Mat Gamel. Generally, one camp believes that the Brewers organization has a history of being consistently inconsistent with Gamel, jerking him around and never really giving him a shot. Craig Counsell has joined the Milwaukee Brewers front office.
He has been named special assistant to the general manager. He is the second Counsell to work in the Brewers front office, as his father worked for the Brewers from 1979 to 1987.

The Milwaukee Brewers avoided arbitration with Kameron Loe on Tuesday by signing the righthander to a one-year deal worth $2,175,000.
