Do you think you know the Red Sox history?

The Red Sox have a long history of blowing it when it comes to the playoffs. They had many chances to win the World Series through the long period of time. They broke the curse and won the World Series in 2004 which broke a lossing streak because they didn't win a World Series since 1918. My Question is in what World Series were they one strike away from winning it all but ended up lossing?

Having enjoyed (suffered, watched, cried, listened, and lots of other terms) since the 50's, the past few years of Red Sox success sort of spoils the angst we long term Sox fans came to expect. The one thing I was most happy about, my Uncle, who at one time was the Chaplin for the Sox, lived one month past the 2004 Championship. He passed a happier man having finally seen the Sox 'World Champs'. I called him, we laughed and cried over the phone.
My heart now goes out to the Cubbies fans.
