Collins Says He’s Moving Duda To No. 5 Spot In Batting Order

Collins also said that he expects Duda to surpass Jason Bay in the batting order, and that he will be going from the six spot in the lineup to the No. 5 hole beginning with the next series against...

Camptown Ladies On The Railroad

There's a downside to this 162 home run season that Lucas Duda is on pace for. It's that you people don't know how to behave yourselves. I'd love for Lucas to hit 35 HR's. Hell I'd be happy with 25. Even if it means putting up with Camptown Races and Working On The Railroad puns. But please, planet earth, the puns have jumped the shark already and he hasn&...

DUDA & DAVID POWER THE METS OVER THE BRAVES

RA Dickey had a good start and the pen once again held down Atlanta's bats. Lucas Duda went 2-4 with 2 solo homers and David Wright went 3-5 with a solo bomb of his own. Kirk Nieuwenhuis got 2 hits in his debut and Josh Thole also kept his hot bat going. New York fans may have similar outlook on series openers, but for different reasons

Whether you are a New York Mets or New York Yankees fan, as you begin to converse with friends about the performance of your favorite team this past weekend, one phrase you are likely to hear is “it’s only one series.”  For Mets fans, whose team sits a perfect 3-0 and alone atop the National League East, the phrase is one of tempered optimism. Look, we want to believe that...

If Healthy, Who Knows What This Team Can Accomplish

Before Opening Day, there was a ton of negativity surrounding the Mets.  Regardless of the positive resolution to the Madoff lawsuit, fans and the media alike continued to be negative about the team and the Wilpons. With the team now going into their second series of the season against the Nationals, Mets fans actually have something to be very happy about. The Mets swept all three...
