Ogando had to come out of Sunday night's game holding his side and was diagnosed with a strained left oblique muscle, meaning he wouldn't be able to pitch any time in the near future.
Nippert, who pitched in the American League Division Series against Tampa Bay, adds some experience to the bullpen. General manager Jon Daniels said the last spot on the roster for the World Series came down to Mark Lowe and Nippert. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
