Dukes' latest brush with the law came Wednesday after an ex-girlfriend said he hit her after a dispute over money, deputies said.
The woman, 20, said she and Dukes had been staying in motels the past several days, most recently at the East Lake Inn Motel, 6539 E. Hillsborough Ave.
On Wednesday, Dukes returned to the motel, and they got into a verbal argument, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release. Dukes slapped her several times in the face, according to the sheriff's office.
Dukes left the motel, and deputies later arrested him at the home of his mother, Phyllis Dukes, shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Dukes was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant female.
