Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Yunel Escobar’s bad luck continues this season. During Saturday’s loss to the Colorado Rockies, Escobar was hit by a pitch from Jon Garland and left the game after being in obvious pain.  It was later reported that x-rays were negative and he is listed as day-to-day with a left wrist contusion. Via Tampa Bay Times Marc Topkin, Escobar will miss 2-3 days per manager Joe Maddon. Escobar’s change of scenery has not benefited him nor the team. He is batting .174 with two home runs and seven RBI in 25 games with Tampa Bay. The Rays have options in the middle of the infield to cover for Escobar as displayed just last week when he missed some time. This Colorado Rockies inspired mohawk makes your hairdo look totally worthless

Three essentials you need to pull off a Rockies-inspired mohawk like this one—a full head of hair, a sh*t load of gel and/or mousse, and an extreme, almost unhealthy, dedication to your favorite baseball team.  I currently have none of these (cursed male pattern baldness), but back in the mid 80s I totally rocked a 3-foot Kansas City Royals/Buddy Biancalana mohawk like it was...

I’m in dead last place – Help me Wilin Rosario….

… you’re my only hope. I’m buried so far in the cellar of my fantasy baseball league there is no hope for resurrecting any semblance of a normal season. Call me the Houston Astros of the fantasy world. I do though refuse to back up the truck. I have a few diamonds in the rough that I’m sure members of my league would be dying to get their hands on. One of which is Wilin...

Nelson returns to Colorado as member of Yankees

Pardon Chris Nelson if he takes a wrong turn inside the concrete hallways of Coors Field, heading straight toward the home clubhouse instead of veering left with his new team. Hey, old routines are hard to break. The New York Yankees infielder was a member of the Colorado Rockies until nine days ago, when he was designated for assignment to make room for prized prospect Nolan Arenado...
